Hi! I was a member a while ago but forgot my username, but this situation remind me to get back to Steadyhealth. Are there some people already who tested positive to coronavirus so we could ask some questions?

I really do not know anyone in my family or neighborhood who caught the virus, but this situation is getting more serious here St. Pete /Florida. I was working as a waiter in a small restaurant. The season here started nicely but now I'm without a job and government insists to stay at home, although I really do not hear about many cases in our area. Some people even think it is a big hoax, so I really do not know what to think, but most important I need to find another job.

I'd like to hear from other people how is it to be infected and is coronavirus really a thing or just some kind of a fear that spreads more than a virus????

Hi, and welcome back! Two people in my wider social circle (who I don't really know well) tested positive for COVID-19. One was hospitalized and ultimately discharged, and the other had a mild case and was able to recover at home. As for me, I've been sheltering in place, trying my best to protect my family and everyone else, and I hope I'll be able to avoid this virus.

As you can see on our COVID-19 health page, around 80 percent of infected people will have mild cases, and can even be asymptomatic. Fourteen percent will have more severe cases, according to current data, and six percent will be critically ill.  Panic and misinformation have gone viral, too, yes, but the pandemic itself remains a serious concern. It really is very important to recognize that — when we take COVID-19 seriously, we'll take all the protective steps we need to in order to slow the spread of the virus.

Stay safe, stay healthy!
