okay. my name is tes i am 15 years old. in september of 2010 i got the depo shot i didnt get my period untill the end of october and once i got it it didnt go away i had it for id say 6 weeks near the middle of december i went to the doctor and he said thats its cause of the depo so he put me on bc pill to stop the period i never got another shot of depo and my period ended for two weeks when i got to the end of the bc pack the week of sugar pills my period never came it came when the sugar pills ended and i started a new pack and iv had it since then, im not sure why this is happening the depo is long gone out of my system right? and its a normal period just brown instead of red. i have had unprotected sex while i was on the depo and a few times while on the pill and once when i was on my period like a week n a half ago i took a pregnancy test before christmas and it came negative i dont know what to do this is getting really annoying and any suggestions would help alot.

Hi! It can take a while before your body gets back to normal after stopping depo. It really depends on how long you were on the drug, my sister was on depo for four years, and didn't get her period for five months after stopping depo.
