Hi. I`m 54 years old and I suffer from Kienbachs disease. I had a wrist injury a week ago. My wrist motion is limited and the pain is constant. I think my wrist is kind of a swelling. I can`t move, or grip objects. What are my treatment options? My doctor told me that no surgery is necessary.

Hi. Did you mean Keinbock`s disease? I was diagnosed with Keinbock`s disease (stage 3), and I have a whole history of repetitive heavy use of the wrist, so no wonder my wrist hurts. Anyway, my lunate bone has collapsed and broke into pieces, and I had to go for a surgery. They did revascularization. This procedure is rather new and not always successful, but it worked for me. Keinbock`s disease progresses over years, and if you are in stage on, non-surgical treatment is good for you.
