Now as far as the bumps that are hard and hurt I have had two of those my self to and went to the doctor for those also. Believe it or not they were boels. In my care they had to open the first manually and it hurt like crazy even with numbing medication. But this is what I do now since I did have another one but did not have to go to the doctor with it because they had advised me to start taking a bath with the water as hot as you can stand it with epison salt in it. This really does work and it saved me money. I have only had two but that was enough for me. Now I take epison salt baths at least onced a month just to be on the safe side.
As for the blood blisters I just live with them because there is nothing I can do about them. I have proof that I am clean and if a man sees them I just tell him what they are and move on.
Life sure does suck for women so deal with all the bull and thank god for those who have the same problem and understand.

I've had the same issue many of you seem to be describing here. I just got back from the doc and he says its most likely a sebaceous cyst (just a bump under the skin, essentially) and nothing to worry about. If they get swollen and cause you problems, see your doc and they'll be able to remove them.
Hope this helps! Best of luck to you all.

I had no idea that mine was even a blood blister, because it was a dark blackish-blue color, not a bit red at all. So I went in to see my Gynecologist, panicked because mine actually looked like some of the pictures of early stage melanoma of the vulva. My gynecologist thought it was a blood blister, but I insisted it be biopsied, so she did a punch biopsy and sent it off to pathology, only to come back as, yes, a blood blister. Now I am nursing the punch biopsy wound, but I am glad that I went through that, otherwise I would have always worried that maybe my gynecologist was wrong.
Now as I look back, I know how I got a blood blister there - 6 days before I discovered the bump, I tried a new machine at my local gym similar to an elliptical, but the movement is more of a side to side action, and that must have caused a lot of friction with my underwear rubbing against it for 45 minutes.

I get friction blisters when I exercise vigorously. I don't shave down there and the hair tends to get long. Last summer I got one and it lasted for 6 months. I tried and tried to get it to go away but it was in such a bad spot that it couldn't heal properly. It would heal up for a few days and I'd think it was going away and then I'd get sweaty down there and it would pop up all over again. I started seeing someone and he accused me of having an std. It was so humiliating. Finally I ended up getting an antibiotic for something else and it cleared up. Well, I started exercising again about 2 months ago and boom, after 6 months of it being healed, it's back again. In the same spot. I was about 35lbs overweight when I started at the gym. I have about 20 more pounds to lose and now I have this stupid thing. If I keep exercising, it will never heal and if I stop exercising, I'll gain the weight back. I also have a job that requires me to walk around and clean so it never has a chance to get better. I don't know what to do.

Great to have a name for these things now. I'm 66 and never noticed the blood blisters, mostly on the labia major, until 15 years ago. They are not painful or itchy and don't go away. Every once in a while one bleeds and looks like a volcano scab for a while. I once showed my GP and she said it's nothing. I'm too embarrassed to show my dermitologist, but the last time it bled, I worried, so looked online. Now I feel relieved that it's not cancer or something.

That is exactly what I thought, but I went and got tested any way. I do not know what my results are yet, and I am terrified it could be herpes, but seriously, go get it checked out. It is better safe than sorry. It sucks.
