i had my 6th laser hair removal treatment and it resulted in severely swollen lips and blisters all over my vagina (inner and outer lips, perinieum). A few even appeared on my inner thighs a couple days later. I am now infected and in severe pain -it's been over a week. The dr's say it doesn't look like herpes - any ideas? I'm awaiting test results but am curious and scared. I am now on anibiotics and nothing seems to be changing much.

This thread is a few month old, but I was wondering what happened?
It kind of sounds like you were burned. Did the Dr. tell you anything else? I'm having laser hair removal on my vagina lips and peri-anal area also so your post worries me.
So far I haven't had any problems. I will get blisters right after they zap me, but a little aloe and my skin clears up.

I got laser done a year ago , it cost 350 a treatment and did not work, a lot of pain, and money for NO return. SO the next time i went in, i got IPL treatment, and it worked like a charm, all the hair fell out within 3 days, and it was pain free. SO naturally i went online and checked it out and found ***edited by moderator*** web addresses not allowed and i bought a home based IPL unit. It works great, not only have i not had regrowth in 6 months down there but i have saved thousands of dollars doing it! All in all im happy, i did have to treat the area 5 times so far, but it keep growing back more and more slowly every time. I love it! Hope that helps somebody to avoid getting laser done!

It depends on WHERE YOU LIVE and WHO YOU KNOW... Im a local entertainer.. and Im currently Undergoing FULL BODY LASER..... and I go to a DR OFFICE in Aventura. BUT i was referred by another Girl etc... and they charge me $75 a Session... BUT after the 3rd session you start to see results... IT TAKES TIME y our hair grows in cycles... Ive now had over 6 sessions on EVERY BODY Part... Legs, back, Face, Arms, ass etc.... and I barely have to shave anymore.... will probably need 2 seasons maybe 3 on each area before its 100 percent gone

Same thing happened to me. I even told the aesthetician that it was extremely hot and felt like it was burning in that area, she said it was normal. The prior 6 treatments were fine, this was a follow up annual maintenance treatment with a different aesthetician. It is only blistered where I told her I felt like she was burning me. So regretting this annual maintenance.

Did you find out what caused it, was it from the laser hair removal or something else? What did you do to fix it and are you healed now? How long did it takes to heal? Have you had any other blisters after the 6th treatment or was that your last treatment?

Just an FYI. New research has indicated that hair removal increases the chances of getting an STD.
