Looking for info on what's wrong with me

I'm a 27 year old female, non smoker or drinker. I have been experiencing very frequent and painful headaces starting from the left side of my head that spreads eventually to the rest of the head. I have hade three blackouts where it feels the pressure builds in my head, my vision goes black and from witnesses I slump as if suddenly falling asleep. If I am holding anything, it falls for my body goes slack. I "wake" from these within a few seconds to a minute. After words I still have a headache (not as bad) and a metalic taste in my mouth. My mother states IU had these similar episodes as a child where she would smack me in the back of the head to snap me out of it, calling it my reset button. I thought these were caused by high emotions since the first two blackouts occured while I was laughing. The third did not. I have gone to the hospital, and had to cat scans done. I am told I'll be having a brainwave test performed soon. Both the Er specialist I saw and my doctor have suggested this being seizures yet i can't find any type of seizure that fits what I'm going through. Can anyone help?
