i have loud heart beat. sometimes i find it difficult to sleep with the noise, but a few weeks ago it did not happen and th eheart was beating calmly. it was wonderful. it lasted for a few hours thats it. i know what the problem is and i know the solution too but i somehow refuse to act towards it, rather choosing to travel the lonely pleasurable long way around. the reason is stress. for those few hours i did not have stress. i was truly peaceful and confident about myself. anyone can control their stress but we just chose not to. when we understand this, we are on our way to recovery, be it slow or instant. knowing whats really important in life. knowing that we hurt ourselves or others in the process and believe me, sometimes, that experience is the only way for some people to learn.

I agree that web forums are no replacement for solid medical advice. But I have had many of these distressing symptoms such as heart beats seen through my shirt, flip-flopping fluttering sensations in my left chest area, days of weakness, lethargy & dizziness, all the things people are asking about. I have been to several doctors over the last 10 years of symptoms, had numerous EKG's, echocardiograms, blood tests, etc. Once I exhibited so many signs of a heart attack, I was ambulanced to the hospital, just a few weeks after my echocardiogram showed great results. All tests have shown my heart to be in great shape, but I have occasional PVC. No one but the ambulance team asked me about water intake and dehydration. Each doctor took in the symptoms they thought relevant. I have yet to feel any doctor has taken into account everything I have told them. Maybe some stuff is not relevant, but I'm pretty sure I don't have heart burn ( a quick and repeated diagnosis).
Talking in a forum to a large group of people can help someone who is feeling health issues they may have trouble describing, to piece together a relevant history. It only occured to me this month that alcohol intake seemed to precede some of my heart or circulatory issues. Had I been paying attention to this sooner, I may have had better info to provide my doctors. But they never brought it up either.
So let's keep sharing, but as a prelude to seeking educated help.
