I am a person with a history of health issues, including diabetes (type II) and related health conditions, as well as asthma. Now I have a lump on my lower spine and I am really worried that it is something life threatening, like a tumour. What can you tell me about this? Please help me prepare for my next doctor's appointment.

It doesn't have to be anything serious at all, and my one and only advice to you is to stop worrying about the lump and just tell your doctor about it. It could very easily be a fatty lump - which requires no treatment at all - or a cyst, or something else that is not a tumour. Good luck and keep us updated!
