I think ALS is not illness, but a description of a syndrome. Persons with late stage neurologic lyme and ALS symptoms, have ALS? I say it makes sense. Sounds logical, but ALS is not a disease, after all. Effective treatment of late stage ALS must include metronidazole. Antibiotic therapy is good for early stage ALS. The cause of ALS is, so far, unknown. There is some link with allergic responses, viral and infectious agents, but still no proof.
