I am 44 years old lady and I am overweight. I have decided to take some diet. I still don't know what kind of diet but that is not my question. I am interested in one other thing. I am use to see the effects of my efforts. I want to measure my waist to know how I am progressing. But from where should I measure it? How can I be sure that it is the same spot every time I measure?

Measuring of body is like expertise for me. The proper line for measuring waist goes around two or three centimeters above the navel. That is what we, tailors, count when we say waist. But if you want to know every time exactly the same spot for measure then you can use navel to orientate.
