medical abortion effects

I had a medical abortion.theres two different pills the doctor gave me. one mifepristone and misoprostol. First i took the mifepristone the next day a saturday and had slight cramping  and spotting i.e  light period. after 48 hours i took the second set of tablet misoprostol, i drank two and inserted two which were the directions from the Doctor.After about 45 minutes i had a terrible pain and cramping than a normal period.I panicked and i was going crazy with the pain.I eventually went to see the doctor and she prescribed some pain killers.With in 2 hours i passed the fetus.I bled for 7 days...the first 3 days were quite heavy with slight cramps.after 8 days of the abortion i returned to the doctor where she did an ultrasound and she did a clean out of the womb because there were tissues left in there and will prolong bleeding, the pain was quite intense during the clean out that took 2 minutes and was given antibiotics..However since then i havent bled but still have occasional pain in the abomial area.Can anyone tell me the cause of that?
