i have had my period for 9 days now, and my periods have never been longer than four and are usually 2 1/2 to 3...

i recently got the depo birth control shot and have not had sex since june so i know i am not pregnant..

the doc told me this would be my last period before i quit having them...

but i got extremely bad cramps worse than i have ever experienced and they made me puke..
and a few days ago i pulled out my tampon and there was pink flesh wrapped around my tampon and there was an even bigger blood clot... the flesh was about 4 inches and the clot was twice the size...

do you know what would cause this or what could be the problem? im afraid to go to the doctor until i have an idea.

i was on depo before and all was fine period wise for awhile and all of a sudden i started bleeding non stop and it lasted for 4months, The Dr's assumed it was my body having a reaction to it so i stopped it right away and aft depo wore off everything was fine again.......So maybe your body doesn't agree with it?? also with depo ias its known to lighten and basicaly stop periods, with some women it can go thee other way giving you heavy periods or non stop like i had..

in my opinion depo isn't all that safe, i mean the prevention of pregnancy works but it seems to cause other issues, as with me and a few ppl i know it's caused problems with becoming and staying pregnant...

try taking alesse (birthcontrol pills)

hope this helps :-)
