Hi, my mother is 54 years old and she is struggling with breast cancer for more than 5 years. Unfortunately when she visited her oncologist for regular control several days ago her results were very bad and doctor told her that she has metastases. I am really desperate because I know that she there is not much time left for my mother. Any useful suggestion is welcome.

Hi, my mother also has metastatic breast cancer. Metastases are found in her lungs and liver. In this moment she is on chemotherapy and she is getting Tamoxifen. There were several studies which showed that strong doses of chemotherapy may improve conditions of such patients. Also some women get radiation therapy. I don't want to discourage you but only 16% of women live 5 years or more with metastatic breast cancer.
