Hey!
Term metastatic describes a cancer that has spread to distant organs form original tumor site. In that case, metastatic breast cancer is the advanced stage of breast cancer (the fourth stage of cancer). So, metastatic breast cancer means that the cancer has spread from breasts to armpits and to others part of the body. Breast cancer has the potential to spread to almost every part of body. When term lung and liver metastatic breast cancer is used, this means that the cancer has spread form breasts to liver and lungs.

Well,
If the cancer has metastases to another organ it means that the cancer is in advance stage. This usually happen few years after the cancer have occurred but in some cases it is hard to diagnose the cancer on time. The easiest treatment is when you notice the early cancer where the cancer is still small and it can be treated easily. Regarding to your question this means that the cancer has spread to your lungs and liver from the cancer. The treatment is much harder and the process is very long. The treatment is consistent with chemotherapy and radiation therapy and in some cases surgery is also needed.

All the best,
Nelie
