Hi I’m 15 and I go to the gym a lot. The gym is a good distance so my mom tells me to use the showers there so I don’t stink up her car. They have open showers and most of the times I get an erection in there. Since the showers are open it’s pretty obvious and everyone can see it. I don’t want to get dirty looks from all the older guys or anything so how can I stop this?

Usually what happens when I’m there is that a few minutes after I take my clothes off and walk into the area I get an erection. I feel when I get embarrassed and try to hide it then it makes it worse.

If it is happening when your seeing other guys controlling it won't happen.
Maybe thinking of other things might help a bit.
Depending on the layout of the showers getting in and out quick and using a shower close to the entrance might help.

It happens when there are other people in there. And yeah I think some have noticed it. The layout is one big open rectangle with a few shower heads on the walls next to each other.

Thankfully at my school we don’t have working gym showers, we just change and do go past boxers. When the other people see my erection it deffinately gets the blood pumping the heart beating faster though. Also, like you said using the soap really does not help it at all.

Some guys are self-conscious in public showers and being seen naked is uncomfortable, you just might enjoy it and kinda thinking being seen with an erection is something you like.
Whatever the reason is behind it does it kinda seems like you enjoy providing it is not at school.
Do you go to the gym alone if a friend was with you do you think it would be different if you had a friend stay over and were getting changed would you be able to control it?

Yeah I always go alone. If I was with a friend I think I’d be able to control it. I’m never naked around friends because at places like the school we only ever go down to our boxers. It’s only in the gym showers when I’m naked that I can’t control it.

When it first happened and until now I only spend the time needed to shower then leave to get dressed and dry off. I’m not hoping to get noticed or anything because when I do I still try to hide it a little.
