My chest xray says that there are suspicious densities are noted in my right lung apex. Heart is not enlarged. Diaphragm and bony thorax are unremarkable.
What is the meaning of this? Please answer this. Im scared. Thank you
You should be concerned at this point, not necessarily scared.
Suspicious densities means that they see something in the x-ray that is denser than normal lung tissue. It could be a sign of TB, another infection, or fluid build up.
You NEED additional testing. Sometimes the next step is an "apicolordotic view" which is an x-ray taken at a different angle to better focus on the apex (top) of your lungs.
You may also have a sputum sample.
See your doctor.
