I'm 63, female, I had a stress & test failed it. 2 days later had lots of pressure right under my breast, tightness followed by a sharp pain. Went to the ER, they began drawing blood hooking me up to monitors. After about 20 minutes, they told me my Emzines were up and a while having a heavy Ed's and pain in my heart a Dr runs in and says She's having a heart attack now, they rush me to the catch lab, but Dr said he did not see any problems with my heart. Now that I am home doing normal routine, like washing and drying hair, getting dressed my heart rate is pounding at 138 pulse rate. Dr told me to go to emergency room, They kept me. Overnight but found nothing, while laying in bed. I come home and walk around the house outside and it does it again... not use to this for I'm usually very active, working on our farm. It scares me a bit, Pulse rate has gotten up to 148. Should I be concerned, should I get a second opinion.

Hello, guest.
Your symptoms, in particular the episodes of rapid heart rate (tachycardia) and the previous presentation that mimicked a heart attack, are concerning. Here are a few general suggestions:
-
Seek Medical Attention: If you experience alarming symptoms, especially related to the heart, you should seek medical attention immediately. If you're not satisfied with the previous care you received or if the symptoms recur or worsen, consider visiting another emergency room or medical facility.
-
Limit Strenuous Activity: Until you have clarity on your condition, it might be wise to limit particularly strenuous activities that seem to trigger or worsen your symptoms.
-
Stay With Someone: It might be comforting and safer to have someone with you, especially during episodes when your symptoms are pronounced.
-
Consult a Cardiac Electrophysiologist: Given your high pulse rates, it might be useful to see a cardiac electrophysiologist, a cardiologist who specializes in heart rhythm disorders. They might be able to provide more insight into whether you have an arrhythmia and what the potential treatments might be.
Please, always prioritize your health and well-being.
