Hi! my husband did the surgery on the 1st of march. He cannot pass any stools. Is this normal? What should I do?  How long after the surgery no bm is still considered to be ok? He also has a cateter as he was not able to urinate. I am really scared. I don't know what to do. Tomorrow I will buy milk of magnesia. I read that it worked most cases. He does not bleed and nothing yellow comes out off there....also it looks like there is no rectum anymore.....please just let me know if all this is normal or not. Thank you.
