Help! what can I do? I have been taking suboxone for 2yrs now. I take about 2-4mg a day. Four days ago I had surgery and the doctor put me on oxycodone. I have been taking it every three hours for four days and It has done nothing for me excpet make me anxious and sleepless. I have one 8mg suboxone left until Tuesday (two days away) when the doctors office opens. When can i take it.

Hi Brenda: Suboxone is to get you OFF Oxycodone!!!!! So the only thing to do until the doctors open is to cut your pills in half!, don't skip a day, you will start going into withdrawls. Now about the Oxycodone, Just like the nicotine patch is made by companies that are owned by ciggarette companies, Suboxone and others are made by the same companies that make Oxycodon and Oxycocet, SO you HAVE to be really careful hear hon. You can't mix them here and there. It's like being on herroin and taking methadone, smoking while on the patch - understand? The good thing is you were only on Oxy for 4 days, if you can tolerate if for just 2 more days, cut it in half - sounds like you are getting too much! so hold on OK hon, keep on the oxy and wait till Tuesday, you can do it? good luck

Brenda, I'm sorry, I'm a little confused by your post because I'm not sure what it is that you actually want to do. Do you want to get off the oxycodone that you are taking post surgery or are you trying to take the suboxone? I'm sorry if I'm coming off a little dense but I read your post several times and I'm unable to tell. Can you please explain? Thanks!
