Hi, my relative has some sort of a mental problem. He`s quite disturbed and aggressive, changing moods, especially when drinking. But, he`s aware of his problem and recently decided to get some professional help. So, he went to see a psychiatrist and he prescribed him some neuroleptics – he was diagnosed with psychosis. Neuroleptics... I don`t know. Sounds dangerous to me, and probably have some mean side effects. Does anybody have some info about neuroleptics?

Hi, neuroleptics (antipsychotics) are one of the most dangerous meds ever, chemicals with brain damage attentions – they will turn you into a zombie. They include Chlorpromazine, Triflupromazine, Mesoridazine, Thioridazine, Acetophenazine, Fluphenazine HCl, Perphenazine Clozapine, Risperidone, etc. They have been used on mentally disturbed patients to keep them passive. Neuroleptics suppress hyperactivity, tension and hostility. Side effects are quite dramatic – neuroleptics lobotomize patients. Persons on antipsycotics lose their personality. Neuroleptics are also very likely to give you Tardive dyskinesia, a movement disorder. But, they can be very helpful in treating tic disorders, chorea, nausea, psychosis or hallucinations problems.
