I'm sorry but I completely disagree.... o.O

I have suffered from endometreosis for over 15 years... my first doctor wanted to give me a hysterectomy at age 23. my next doc wanted to dry me up with danazol and bring on an early change at 25 .

My consultant did many laprotomy and laparoscopy procedure to clear as many lesions as he could, I then went straight in for a baby which took 2 years to conceive but we did then I did the same all over again and went in for our second baby which took 8 months, we now have 2 healthy girls. aged 7 and 4 .

My consultant suggested a Merina Coil - I have not looked back since I have not had a period in nearly 3 years I have had no pain no mood swings no complications. When I went to a gyny in Spain where I now live he gave me a clear bill of health, there are no traces of the endometreosis or lesions whatsoever.

It was the best thing that I ever did - I have to have this merina coil replaced every 5 years.

Congratulations then!

I respect your opinion but Mirena was one of THE WORST experiences for me and a friend. I would never recommend it to anyone. We had the same problems with pain and discomfort and it caused tremendous rapid weight gain for both of us. I have 1 child and she has 2. I have since had a hysterectomy and I still have issues. We are all made differently! Unfortunately, endometreosis is not localized and in my case has spread. Thank God HE has taken this burden away from you.

My experience during having the Mirena was awesome also. The bleeding after removal is kinda scary but the iud itself was great.
