I was always thinking of Olanzapine as a different kind of medication, than benzodiazepines but recently I heard that it could cause a cross-reaction with benzodiazepines. Is this true? A friend of mine is working in a drug treatment industry. I asked him about your question, and this is what he said. Olanzapine is thienobenzodiazepine, so it could cause a possible cross-reaction. Even so, some people are saying that Olanzapine is different drug to benzodiazepine. So, we both will need more checking about this issue.
