Hello. I'm 22 year old female and I would like to find out some crucial information about some medications I'm interested in.
You see, few days ago I was talking with my boyfriend about possible methods of contraception because I'm not planning to have unprotected sex with anyone. I'm not afraid of any STD because I believe my boyfriend but unwanted pregnancy would kill me. He suggested me to use the pill and I don’t know what to do.
I've heard about this Orthcyclen pill but the best friend told me that she knows about this better pill called Mifepristone. What would be the right cause?

Hello. I'm 34 year old female and I have a long experience with these contraceptive pills but I can see that your best friend is pretty new in all this. She doesn’t have a clue about what pill is good enough for you. First of all, that Mifepristone pill isn’t at all the contraceptive pill but medication for medically induced abortion. That is made for use if you get pregnant. To prevent this from happening you could definitely use the one you’ve mentioned- Orthcyclen.
It comes in shape of pill you drink every day and as a patch you stick on your skin and have it there for couple of days. I'm not that familiar with the patch, except that I know it contains a low amount of hormones. Talk with gynecologist about your options!
