Please tell me what disorder can cause problems in ostegenesis? How is it treated? How is it diagnosed and in what age first symptoms may occur? Can it be fatal in new born babies or can be prevented if diagnosed in prenatal period? It’s important for me to get more information related to this disorder. Thank you in advance.

Osteogenesis imperfecta is what you mean, I guess. It’s a hereditary disease known as brittle-bone disease in which there is inadequate amount of connective tissue in bones. Symptoms vary from less to very severe. Problems with teeth are present, spinal curvatures, hearing loss and the first of all bone fractures. Newborns are severely affected. Test is complicated and results may be waited for up to 6 months. Amount and structure of collagen should be evaluated. Diagnose also may be done by using x-rays.
