Prevention of osteoporosis should be started in early childhood. Bone loss can’t be stopped in any known way. Calcium substitution therapy and exercising are effective. Vitamin D intake is also factor of prevention. Long term used corticosteroids may lead to increased bone loss. Bone density is about 650 mg/cm² in osteoporosis.
