I'm a fairly-healthy 44 year old former power lifter.  In early May, 2012, I underwent arthroscopic surgery to repair a torn subscapularis, along with an accompanying subacromial decompression.  Afterward, I've managed to accidently (habitually) use my elbow on the same arm as the repaired shoulder to move me to another position while half asleep in bed on a few occasions.  The last time I did this I felt an extremely deep stinging feeling in my armpit region.  Now I'm worried that I've torn the repair again.  Is this possible?  I don't feel any other acute pain...

Also, I'm a bit concerned at how long it has taken for a lot of the pain from the surgery to subside, and I'm wondering if this is normal for everyone?

Regards all!
