i am a 15 yr old male who recently caught what i think was a sinus infection, this was 2 weeks ago and has now cleared up, however since i got that problem every couple of days i would randomly get a reasonably bad pain under my left breast bone for 2-5 seconds, it has never brought me to my knees or anything as it is too brief. it has never lasted longer than 5 seconds and just comes in suddenly and leaves just as fast as it came! i'm wondering if anyone else has this or knows what it could be? i have noticed it has been happening alot less frequently as i started getting better but i was reminded of it earlier today. today it happened while i was drinking a fizzy drink which causes me to think possibly gas? i cannot describe the type of pain as it is simply too brief. i also thought possibly precordial catch syndrome but i can't be sure... i'm just worried because it's near my heart. thanks for reading.

Don't worry. Unless you are experiencing anything else like fatigue, vomiting, dizziness, blurry vision, or blacking out, it shouldn't be a heart attack. Although, that still leaves the question open to an answer to your question. I have not quite ever heard of anything of your sort before. If it persists another month, I would go see a doctor about it.

I'm a 30 years old male with a painful left breast. I suffer from IBS and was wondering if this has anything to do with my recently painful left breast? If not, what else could be causing it? I'm embarrassed to see GP about it.
