periods after stopping birth control

I am having the same problem. I was soo excited after I got off the pill and got my period just when expected. I thought for sure my body naturally regulated itself. Now it has been 3 weeks since I should have had my period and nothing. My husband doesn't understand how frustrating it is not know when I am getting my period. When being on the pill for 10 years and always knowing it is a real change. I am also feeling bloated all the time even thought I am drinking a lot of water and I can tear into some food. I am guessing this is all hormone changes, but I am ready to be normal again!!!

Ive stopped taking the pill on 1st march but I did have only 2 pills before that, so i ended up having a withdrawal bleed on the 7/3. I however did not have a period until 5/5 but now i am still not getting a period and I am late about 4 days. Shouldnt i have a normal cycle now once ive had a normal period.  Pls advise me.

Hi, i am really confused i have to idea whats going on.. i was on the pill dianette for about 6 months, i came off it in feb had my week break  and never started it again, during my week break i had my period as normal ( i had my unprotected sex throughout the 2 weeks i wasnt protected) but 2 weeks later had another bleed which lasted 3 or 4 days but no period cramps like id usually get.

i went t othe docs and did pregnancy tests all negative and had bloods done too .. neg again. experience lots of weird things was very nauseseus along with vomiting ocassionally, headaches fatigue heartburn and frequent urination. i then got a period beginning of may which was rather odd as it only lasted 2 days and did not have cramps like id usually get, my periods usually last 5 or 6 days.

 

Im now due for another one but seem to be 5 days late and before all this my periods were 28 day cycles without fail. im very confused as im tired all the time and have put on alot of weight. someone please give me some advice thanks. x

Hi ladies! After about 3 months of no period and feeling constantly rubbiah my period came at the beginning of june beginning of july and am having one at the moment. they are exactly 28 days! i guess it took some time for my body to get back to normal after being on the pill x

I stopped taking birth control on 27th may! Had break through bleed on 29th may for 3 days and just started my period on 5th august, so don't worry if you are late it is just your body ajusting xx

I swapped from Cerazette to Noriday (had to change as Cerazette was turning me into a hormonal mess) and I mentioned to my doctor that i had been bleeding for about 3 weeks, and he told me that you -will- have a peroid as soon as you stop taking a mini pill. I stopped taking Noriday about a week ago, (again, made me mental!) and despite having period pains and sore breasts, I am still yet to have a period. I see a lot of women who come off the pill and mini pill, takes them months for their periods to return, but my doctor seemed so adamant that you should have them right away. I am concerned I might have conceived whilst on the pill, as Noriday gave me quite bad diarrehea and I didn't compensate for it. I also have noticed some changes in smell in my body, could that be related to coming off the mini pill also?

I had my period on September 8, 2012 but until now October 8. But it is only spotting, and im curious if i am pregnant i have my pregnancy test on September 6, because before i have my period I experience 1 month delayed but the result is negative.

I took Depo from April, 2012 to November, 2012. Since I missed my 3 week opening in November, I haven't had a period. I expected it in December but it never came, it is now April, 2013. My boyfriend and I are trying to have a kid. How can I tell if I am pregnant if I haven't had a period since Febuary, 2012?

i stopped taking the pill(ortho tricyclin lo) dec 22,2012, got my period in both jan and feb 2013 but missed in march and am late for april.  i experienced normal menstrual symptoms: cramping, bloating, mild headache and fatigue in both march and april, took pregnancy tests but have been negative is this normal should i be worried?

I was on ortho tricyclin lo too and after I finished my last pill pack, I had a normal period.  Now it is a month later and despite some spotting, I haven't started my period.  I'm hoping that my body is just regulating itself like everyone has mentioned.

okay so i am farely new to this and probably in my own boat here. I was on the injection (2 months) went 3 times and then decided to stop as I was constantly nautious from it. i made sure my partner and i used protection after that and nothing happened. my period was a bit off and on and then went on for 2 whole weeks. that kind of scared me. but i havent seen it since. i am a little bit worried as about a month ago my partner and i had protected sex but i have all the syptoms of a pregnancy...appetite, sensitive nipples and bigger breasts but apparently i am not pregnant. what is happening to me? 

i am a little bit worried. I was on the injection (2 months) and stopped taking it after the third one as i was experiencing constant nausea. my last injection was in november. i had my last period in feb and it lasted about 2 whole weeks. my partner and i have been having protected sex but i haven't seen my little red friend since feb. worst of all i seem to be experiencing pregnancy symptoms like sensitive nipples, my breasts are growing and i still get nausea. should i be concerned? i have not seen a doctor yet (mostly just because i haven't really had time). i am also due to see my gynea in the next few weeks

I have stopped the pill a month ago, got a period, but now 5 days late. I know this may be because I stopped the pill, but should I start it again to get my period back? Help!
