I have been taking celebrex for the past 4 months due to a disc herniation. 6 days ago I was eating a pear and I was having trouble swallowing it. It lasted for over a minute and then passed. since then I have been experiencing some retrosternal discomfort and the need for throat clearing. I have had the habit of taking this medication with little water and believe that this has caused the problem. I am aready taking PPI's and was wondering if I may have caused a major problem. I have not had the sensation food sticking since the first episode but the discomfort continues although not terrible. Question, will this clear on its own or have I caused permanent damage. I am out of the country for the next 4 weeks and would rather be home before checking this out. I am making sure to take medication with a significant amount of water now. Any feedback would be welcome. Thanks Claire
