pink discharge after monistat treatment

SO GLAD IM NOT THE ONLY ONE! i took the Monistat 1 a day back in october its almost two months down the road and i beleive im stil having some issues  with the medication. When i first took Monistat the discomfort wasnt all that bad my side effects were typical until about 3 days later when i completely lost my appetite and didnt eat for three days. I got my period soon after using Monistat and also noticed a pink disachrge during my final day or two or my cycle. This happened again the next month when i got my period as well. I also noticed that i would lose my appetite every couple of weeks for a few days and ate very little when i could stomach it. Beleive me im not pregnant either i took 9 tests just to be sure! Its mid december and i think my body is finally getting back to normal. I also noticed that when ever i used the bathroom i had some discharge. Im not sure if its my body getting rid of any other bacteria left over from the yeast infection or if its left over monistat cream finally leaving my body. I hope this helped some and im glad to see i wasnt completely alone! I swear i havent been the same since using this product and never again!

So I used monistat 7, the 7 day treatment. I ended up getting my period after the second treatment, and I just finished the treatment last night, and the yeast infection feels like its gone, and I feel like my period is also gone, but I'm still getting some spotting, but I've been reading around, and aperently a lot of us get the pink/bloody discharge from using these treatments. I'm assuming its just my body regenerating itself. and calming down from having the infection plus the monthly cycle. Good luck to those who stumble upon this.

Yes! Pasty chunks are coming out! It's creamy and gross and uncomfortable. I took the one day Monistat that cones with a few wipes and anti-itch cream. The wipes seem really nice, but I'd need 100 to wipe this discharge! I'm still super itchy and I inserted the oval "pill" 6 hours ago. The itching seems to have worsened and feels deeper inside than before.

Hi I experienced the same thing now I'm feeling little better knowing I'm not the only one. But my mom told me about this pill it's called AZO it's a homeopathic medicine I got mine from shop rite. This pill is totally safe to use you could even take it everyday for the yeast infection not to ever come back again. But please still talk to your doctor about it.. hope this helps...

Did help you Miconazole 3 that treatment that you did it. Because i have same experience. I'm worry about a lot. because i cannot afford to go doctor right now. After that what did you do. Thanks.

Did help you Miconazole 3. Or it goes away from discharge pink, orange-ish. I know its normal

Same here, only it was with prescribed Terconozole which a stronger Miconozole.Very pale pink , hardly noticable, after three days on the meds..Glad to hear others in same boat.

I've had similar experience after using 1 day. Experienced spotting and intercourse caused bleeding on 2nd day after dose taken.

I had to take antibiotics for bv, then got a yeast infection so i got monistat 1 and go figure, burning, itching intensified. Started off as pink discharge, now it's full blown period looking blood. Called the dr and they said using that monistat was like putting a bomb in my vagina, and never to use it again. I'm awaiting a call back from the doctor, since now, three days later, i have intense abdominal pain and more bleeding. Fml. At least the yeast infection is gone.

So glad I found this post. I had the same thing! I finished the 3 d ay treatment yesterady and had the pink discharge today. I'm not due for my period for another week so I was freaking out! So glad I found this post I could not find any other information about this as a side effect in any of the product info or other websites. Thanks again!

Well now I'm not worried about mine. :) This was very helpful. I'm using a 7 day treatment(because i'm a college kid and 5 bucks is more affordable than 15 for a 1 day treatment) And i just about freaked out when i went to the bathroom earlier. But knowing that som many people get this makes me feel more at ease. It's my 6th day and was like "Well it isnt my period. what is it?!?!?! So thank you all for making me feel a Heck of a lot better. XD Cheers. 

I have had a YI since Saturday. On Wednesday night I used monistat 1 day with the internal and external cream. Everything is irritated and the external cream didn't help. Then the internal cream coming out made it worse. I started using a homeopathic cream which has started to help, but tonight I noticed pink discharge and panicked. All the things I was finding were talking about being pregnant. I am good about taking my pill and my partner pulls out. I am supposed to get my period this coming Monday. But all your responses made me feel so much better about it. I just hope this all goes away soon.
