Just started using the monistat 7 last night,
About three hours after application there was some blood, not heavy. And as well as the next morning same thing. Glad to know it is normal!

Phew! I'm so happy to read these responses! I was panicking and thinking what could be wrong. I did the first dose of a Monistat-3 last night and started spotting this afternoon. I've never had this happen to me, and I never spot in general so this was pretty scary

I had a really bad yeast infection and used the 1 day treatment six nights ago. I started having bloody discharge around the second day and it's lighted but it's still continuing, especially after (clitoral) orgasam. Thank GOD for this post because Google had me convinced I had cancer or something. So comforting to see this may just be a side effect of the medicine. They should really put that on the box! Sheesh!!!

I so agree!! I've always used Monistat 3 in the pat and never saw this! So when I saw this today I thought I messed up or something was going wrong with me--like getting old! Thanks for posting and sharing ladies!

Same thing has happened to me twice! Both times it caused me to start my period. Anyone else have this happen??

I used Monistat and the next day experienced pink discharge, I went to see the doctor thinking it was too strong for me, and was tested for chlamydia and it was positive.. Go to see your doctor in case.

I used the 3 day (finished the day before yesterday) and am now experiencing pink discharge as well. Relieved to know I'm not the only one. Hopefully it goes away on its own soon!

I am using the 7 day equate brand and 4th night had some pink discharge on applicator and a little the next morning and last night (6th night) I had more pink creamy discharge mixed with a little bit of brighter red blood, not much though, when I first went to the bathroom. It's only when first waking up that I see it and only on the t.p., the rest of the day when I go its normal. I have used the 1 and 3 day name brand monistat in the past and didn't have these symptoms. I have read though that even though its a lower dose doing the 7 day, the applicators themselves are being used more and they can cause an already irritated cervix to become more irritated. From all of the other blogs I've been searching through apparently this is quite common using this medication and the discharge has ranged from pink/orange/red/brown. I do not normally spot or have any abnormal bleeding and it coincides only with using this treatment. Glad I found these threads though so I can see just how common it is.

I used the 3 day treatment and bleed alot actually. Was relieved to see that this isn't uncommon. I've been using yeast infection treatments for years and never had this happen. So I'm much more at ease. Thankyou ladies.

Yes I have also experienced pink discharge. I was wondering the same thing because I took monistat 1 2 days ago and I am experiencing pink discharge.
