I am 82 years old, male, with piriformis syndrome of the right hip. Have found the pigeon pose helpful. My question has to do with the left piriformis muscle. Should I also do the pigeon stretch on that side too? Isn't it part of the problem that that side is too stretched? How would I tighten that side, if that is what I need to do? I have had this problem for decades and only recently became aware of ways to try to fix it through stretches. When squatting I veer way to the right and have to make a real effort to tighten left buttock muscles to straighten up. Would welcome suggestions.
