A friend of mine was diagnosed poliendocrinie syndrome. It’s associated to persistent candida infection. It’s not so clear to me what exactly that relation is like? What is the prognosis and is it life threatened disease? Please post. Thanks in advance.

I’ve had that type of polyendocrine syndrome 3 years ago. It was type one, and there is also type two that can have more serious symptoms. Persistent candidiasis can lead to immunodeficiency, and to development of acute polyendocrinie syndrome type 1. It has good prognosis. It depends on patient’s condition and level of immunodeficiency how long would it take to solve completely.
