The fact is that very often cause of chronic regional pain syndrome is unknown. This syndrome can be caused by triggering of the immune system. That is exactly what the symptoms are like, swelling, warmth and redness of affected area that can be arms, legs or feet. Treatment is based on relieving symptoms of crps. Topical analgesic ointments, corticosteroids, physical therapy are some of treatments that are used in crps, but there is no drug that improves complete improvement. Prognosis varies from patient to patient and depends on general condition and immunity.
