Ok, my bf and I have only been sexually active for abt a month together.
We had unprotected sex once (I hadn't been expecting to sleep with him b/c I had actually planned on breaking up with him that day, but that's a seperate issue), but I took Plan B. We had sex again three days later (used a condom, it came off as he was pulling out) and I got my regular period afterwards.

About two weeks ago I got sick, with a bug that's been going around at my college (symptoms were: relatively high fever for a day, protracted general fatigue, plus congestion/head cold symptoms). I am feeling ok now, but I did have sex with my bf the day before I came down with the fever (again, used a condom). He also gave me oral sex a few days after the fever. He got mildy sick with the same bug, but was fine after four days.

Then we had sex about a week ago, but I'm having a hard time remembering the exact date. It was about five days after my period ended, I think. I was still kind of fatigued from being sick and I actually made him stop before he was finished, because I was tired and my leg was cramping. He wore a condom that time, too.

We haven't had sex since. I've actually been avoiding him, I'm once again thinking of breaking up with him. But I've been kind of moody lately. I was experiencing mood swings since before I got sick, and I think that's in part due to the fact that I am undecided about my guy and whether I want to be with him.

But anyway for the last couple of days, I've been pretty unpredictable and moody... Then this morning I was lying in bed at about 9 am (it's spring break so I have nowhere to be) and I suddenly felt completely nauseous. I ran to the bathroom but didn't throw up.

My period isn't due for about another 3 weeks (it's generally pretty irregular), but I'm having a bit of nervous reaction to the fact that I just randomly (?) felt nauseous... Another fact I should mention is that I've eaten a lot of carrots over the past two days, it's almost like I've been craving them. Which is unusual for me.

So my possible symptoms, approx. one week after cut-short sex, are: mood swings (that I was already experiencing), cravings for carrots (aren't cravings usually much further down the road in pregancies?), and a general panicky feeling about the fact that I might be pregnant. The whole panic feeling is also partially due to the fact that my parents don't even know I'm with anyone (which is remarkable, considering the fact that I live at home) and I'm pretty sure their reaction to me being pregnant wouldn't be a pretty sight. Actually, I literally haven't told anyone, not even my best friends, that I'm sleeping with my bf... Most ppl don't even know about him at all (it's a long, complicated story).

I possibly have mono which could contribute to the messed-up state of my body... I got it before I even met my bf and I have doing pretty well with it if that's what it is... In retrospect, my bf and I have been pretty stupid b/c he is of course totally vulnerable to that through me, although he does seem to have a remarkably strong immune system...

Anyway, my point is, is it too early to tell if I am pregnant? I tend to have irregular periods so it will be about 3 weeks before I can be sure whether I've missed it or not.

So, your symptoms are:

- Mood swings

- Craving carrots

- Panicking about being pregnant.

Those sound like the symptoms of stress to me, not the early symptoms of being pregnant. Those would be more like nausea, needing to pee more often, tender breasts, cramps in your abdomen, a bloated abdomen, fatigue, etc.

I would advise you to wait until your period is due and then to take a test, to set your mind at rest if nothing else. Get tested for mono for sure. And while you're at it, ask your doctor about more permanent birth control options so you don't have to worry next time.

OMG!!! I am about in the same exact position as you are. Randomly feeling nauscious after a few days I had sex. And I had sex after a few days my period ended. My parents don't even know I'm with someone either. I'm feeling panicky and eating a lot lately. I'm feeling pains in my stomach. Also I haven't really told anyone, not even my best friends yet. I'm also worried if it is too early to tell if I'm pregnant because my period doesn't come till three weeks from now. I also need HELP with this!!

Well I think the only symptoms that you two should be feeling is being tired. I have been pregnant twice and the last pregnancy I felt symptoms after one week. I was just tired all the time and had gas bad. After two weeks I was light headed all the time. So it is possible to feel symptoms after one week. Remember every pregnancy is different.

You said you got your period after... so I would assume you're not pregnant.

Maybe you should think about getting on the pill?

kk. so I'm pretty sure that since you're undecided about if you want to be with your bf, you might get a little moody. You might feel like he's forcing you to do something that maybe at the time you want to do, but deep down you really don't want too. I've been in the same boat as you thinking I was pregnant because of nausea (sp??). So I thought about what was happening. At the moment, when I feel like I'm going to be sick, it could either be from the fact that I haven't ate in a long time, like, over 10 hours, and my stomach is so hungry I feel sick, or if I brush my teeth. So since you were lying in bed, it might have been from lack of food. Also, with the carrots, your body could have just been in need of some of the nutrients or vitamins in a carrot and that's all. If you eat a lot of a certain kind of food though, and start craving something that has the same nutrients or so, then I would start to get worried. If you ARE still worried and not sure, go buy a dollar tree pregnancy test. My best friend used one and found out she was pregnant that way. I would suggest using three.

I always thought early symptoms of pregnancy was all in your head.

Well they are definitely not.

My daughter who is 27 had sex with her BF on Feb. 17th On Feb 20 she was so sick and so nauseous with cramping cuz she was due for her period

We found out she was pregnant on MARCH 3RD.

she WENT TO THE DOC TODAY AND YES SHE IS JUST ABOUT 3 WEEKS PREGNANT. sHE HAD ALL THE SYMPTOMS THE DAY AFTER CONCIEVING, AND WE NEVER THOUGHT OF PREGNANCY BECAUSE SHE WAS NOT TRYING AND THIS IS A NEW GUY IN HER LIFE..SO THE WHOLE THING NEVER ENTERED HER HEAD!!!

What I thought was a myth is as true as the sky is blue...and I have a daughter to prove it!!
