Have stopped prednizone for past two weeks - decreasing over last 16 mos (started at 80mg for five mos for Uveitis). Experiencing severe face, jaw, teeth pain - not always brought on by cold or hot drink or food. Just happens. Will this pass, along with the severe knee and ankle pain over the next few months. Have been tested for steroid myopothy and results negative.

Since you were on the prednizone for so long it will take some time for your body to adjust to the lack of artificial hormone, even though you have been tapered off at what seems to be enough time. It's no surprise you were negative for steroid myopathy now - this condition is caused by excess amount of steroids and you are now probably at the lowest point which is why all the pains. But, even though there is a good chance that jaw and teeth pain are steroid-related, still maybe it would make sense to visit the dentist, to at least minimize the amount of pain. And no, it should not take months of this - depending on your age and other conditions you might have, your body should start to produce its own hormones faster.
