So here's my story (sorry so long). I'm taking birth control but I'm really starting to think that I might have ended up pregnant anyway, and I know that the pill can "mimic" pregnancy, but it never has for me. I started my last pack of pills on the 6th of July. My boyfriend and I have only had sex twice this month, on the 10th and the 13th. On the night of the 15th I was having trouble getting to sleep cause my breasts were hurting a bit. Then on the 16th we had a dinner party with some friends and that evening after everyone left (around 12:30am) I went to the bathroom to discover a brown stain on my underwear. I had brown spotting Thursday and Friday as well, which kind of faded into Friday evening. My breasts have continued to bother me. They feel really heavy (and I'm only an A-cup!) and they ache especially up under my armpits and across the tops (last night in bed they were absolutely throbbing!). So here's the thing, I've never had spotting in between periods on this pill. Several years ago I did on Ortho-Lo, but my gyno concluded that it was because the hormone levels were too low for me and that was causing me to have breakthrough bleeding, but it was totally different than this! I'm also good at taking my pills (been on them since I was 16 and I'm now 24). I take them around 7pm every evening and the most it varies by is about 4-5 hours (haven't missed any). The other thing that's really strange for me is this soreness in my breasts that I'm having. I've NEVER had sore breasts, not as a PMS symptom or anything, so it's really making me wonder. Oh, I've also been a little crampy/bloaty. Took an HPT on the 17th (afternoon) and it was neg. I figured that was way too early to tell anything, but my boyfriend has no patience. We're going to test again tomorrow morning (Sunday). Do you think that'll still be too early? I know I basically have to just wait and see what happens with AF (which isn't due until after the 27th) and take another test then, but I was just wondering what any of you think about all this...?
