I have to admit that I never knew what happened that night in fish restaurant until a friend suggested I should do the allergen test and see why I felt so nauseous. The tests showed I am allergic to shellfish and similar species, so I guess I would like to hear something more about the prevention of this type of allergy. What can you tell me about it?

Shellfish allergy, as any other type f allergy can provoke different signs and symptoms. Nausea is not the most benign one, but I guess it is still far better than a shock, which also might have happened. As for the prevention, I guess you already assumed that a complete avoidance of the mentioned fish is the best way to avoid any further problem.
