I am on a Prophylthoracil therapy for my hyperthyroid. I am on the maintance regime now and I got pregnant. I want to keep the baby but I don’t know if I can use this drug. Any info would be appreciated! Thx

About all these things you need to talk to your doctor. You may stay on Propylthiouracil therapy but you will be probably given the lowest dosage as this drug can be crossed into your baby via placenta. However, Propylthiouracil does enter the milk you will probably have to give up breast feeding. Good luck with your pregnancy!
