I've experienced dizziness, noticeably since last May. After going to an ENT and doing some additional tests, as well as a CT scan, which was then evaluated by a different ear specialist, it was determined I had a dehiscence in my left ear (superior semi circular canal dehiscence, SCCD or SCD). My symptoms were the ongoing dizziness-more like I'm "buzzed", or lightheaded, not room spinning...it didn't seem to have any particular reason for it, it's just a feeling I get a lot. As far as left side symptoms (as it happens to be the same side for me) I can hear my left eye ball move, I have a pretty loud pulsing in my ear (like I can hear the swoosh of my hear beat), I can hear other joints moving, I have a lot of resonance in my head when I talk/sing. I mention these other symptoms b/c until the first ENT suggested SCD, and then I read a lot of information on it, I realized I had a lot of these other symptoms that I hadn't really connected or thought consciously about. SCD is rare, so I think it's something that can be missed sometimes-it's basically a "third window"/hole in your superior canal of your inner ear. just thought I'd throw that out. A CT scan is what confirmed it for me.

I think I have something similar. It usually somehow forces myle to close my eyes and I feel an intense pulse 3-5 times before it goes away. It happens randomly and when it's happening I can barely walk or do anything else.

I'm having similar sensations and I just stopped taking a low dose of Lexapro too. Did you sensations go away after a while? Did you find out for sure what was causing them?

I think it also has something to do with anxiety medications or lack there of... I get those even worse when I forget to take my meds, but even after being off of them during pregnancy it was still happening even months after... I am going to look into the ear thing SCD and see if that brings up anything... I also get a tingling the sensation in my tounge... I suffer from sleep paralysis too and when that happens my head violently shakes ( as seen by a parter) and the tingling feeling after these episodes are very similar to what my brain and tounge and other senses are making me feel now.

Hi I've had the pulsating head for around 3 months I suspect I have blocked sinuses causing this issue also tinitus I have an appointment next week for some results.
I think balloon sinuplasty may cure my pulsating.
Good luck.

I'm really curious if you ever found out what the problem is. I've been having similar lightheadedness and pulsing behind my eyes. Some times the pulses are accompanied by tingling in my fingers. It's really bothering me. This has been happening to me, periodically, for a few years - usually during workouts. But over the past 24 hours it's been almost constant.

Just went through the whooshing, dizzy, nausea (bad) for 5 days following a bad upper respiratory cold and current with lifetime sinus issues. Yesterday I felt 2 small "sensations" in my left ear, got a good nights sleep, and today everything is back to normal. FOLKS: Push the inner ear deal with your doctor, I'm betting most folks problems along these lines can be fixed there. There is also a deal where the nerve gets pushed on elsewhere and can do the same thing. Thank you all for your posts, After reading many of these I was able to define my issues far better than before. Back to the whooshing thing. Yesterday I could do it on command by moving my eyes rapidly one way or the other. Today, can't do it. Good luck y'all.

I get this pulsing on my head on the back where it is with my neck and my right eye twitches. It's driving me crazy cause I had a head injury back in Nov 2015 but I was cleared of everything

Do you feel your heartbeat in your ears when the symptoms occur, because you describe what is happening to me best. Please keep me updated, because I have no health insurance and cannot afford all the tests people are describing.

Mine is random like yours, but it is real....do you feel heartbeat in your ears along with the pressure in your head like a rush?

Hi I want to share what my diagnosis process has led me to. I have spent over 13 years searching for answers.

I get a sudden electric pulsation of pressure deep inside both ears at the same time, sometimes the pulsation is felt in my neck and over my thymus gland too.

I get a deep internal tremor which may be related which is called benign essential tremor. I feel it most strongly in my sternum. I do wonder if my thymus is responsible.

Docs say it's vertigo and I do get dizzy spells when the pulsation is flaring up.

But I also have intracranial hypertension or water on the brain. I am waiting for shunt surgery.

Know I have many other health issues. I'm 44 and been in perimenopause for 9 hard years.

Oh and more than dizziness my vertigo causes me to feel as though the floor disappears for a moment. I lose balance. Its like being stuck in deep water with no idea which way is up.

I know this is glandular. My thyroid levels have always been on the high side of normal.
