my doc has been makeing me take this medication i had back surgery last july and i have bad nerve damage ,and constant pain in my back and down the back of my intire leg, even my caf, i notice i have gained weight, and i realy dont like it, i need help tring to find a way to loose the weight! i walk on the tredmil two times

Gabapentin can actually effect your bowel movements and if this is happening you need to inform your doctor as it is a side effect. It can cause Diarrhea or constipation and you can also gain weight with this drug. On the Bupa site you will be able to see the side effects that this medication can cause. I myself would question this drug after seeing the side effects and your condition. My son was given this drug and I took him off it as it wasn't helping his condition at all. You have the right to ask your doctor for another drug if you are not happy but look the side effects up on the internet first so that you are aware of the possible problems.
