I was hit by a car in feb/2007. The right side of my shoulder area was hit. I suufer from neck, mid-back and shoulder pain. I've had 3 facet injections in the triggers points. I attend therapy 3x's a week. The next step 2 recovery is Radio Frequency procedure. What are the side efffects of this procedure? What are the pros and cons of having this done? What are the risks? What is the long term effect? I'm 37 year old female and I work outside. I do alot of bending and lifting weight in excess of 50lbs. I would like to go back 2 work when I'm better. Will arthris develop in the ares of injury? Thanks!!!!!

I have had and still have these injections and you have to go back every 3 months to get the greater benefit. I let six months pass and I am paying the price. I am in PT twice a week as well. I have been having them for over two years. They do help. I also have a spinal cord stimular. Now they do the minimal invasive procedures for your spine. I don't know the long term effect but I know I put on some weight. They help the pain for sure. If you don't have insurance they are expensive. Luckily I have had insurance.
