About a month ago I went in for my first pap smear. The following week I suddenly had my period 1.5 weeks early (I am on birth control pills, and was still taking the 'white' ones). I think this was due to an extreme imbalance of hormones (I got very drunk one night, and was pretty depressed, stressed, and sleep deprived that week) but am including it because it might be relevant. A few days ago a swollen area developed between my anus and vagina. I thought it was just a hemroid caused by a strainful #2. I have gotten them at least once in the past after intercourse with my boyfriend. However, I have not had intercourse recently. Beginning yesterday, but developing mainly today I have had redness stretching from the swollen area to the edges around my labia. I use bar soap when I shower so that could theoretically cause a reaction, but have been using it for a few months without problem. Also, I have not changed detergents or soaps recently. The entire area burns when I piss or when anything rubs against it. Has anyone had a similar experience/know what is causing this?

Sorry, I forgot to mention: there is also a swollen lump just at the base of the labia, and the labia themselves are swollen. Also right after the pap smear, the left inside of my vagina hurt with sharp pain when I used the bathroom -it went away eventually and I simply attributed it to the smear.
