I was on depo provera for a year. I lost 30 lbs. then again I was working out a lot. Suffered terrible mood swings and depression. Had to take anxiety medication. Then suffered severe knee pain that had difficulty using stairs. Now I've been off it for six months and have intense hip pain. It's a throbbing pain no matter if I walk, sit, or just lying down. I know not everyone reacts the same, but this is a chemical that is being injected into the body to prevent it from functioning its biologic purpose. I'm 33 years old w/ two kids and my body aches and I cringe every time I take a step because of the pain in my hip. IT'S NOT WORTH IT
