I had hip revision surgery 4 reeks ago. The surgery was a breeze. Could not believe the things I could do so soon after surgery. Was hardly any pain. The pain I was experiencing before surgery has returned which is located in my hip bone right where you sit down at on your hip. It is such an intense pain that three10/325 Percocet do not even help. I am so disappointed. What could be causing this pain and will it go away? Any suggestions? Broken hearted with pain.

Hmm? I am happy others are experiencing pain, as I still have the same groin pain and a new buttock pain 4 mos post THR. I do keep up with my exercises. I will say, the pain is not as horrific as before. I can at least put on socks and pants now. Saw my doctor last week. He asked about my pain and then said, see you back in a year. Huh? Okay. Plus there seems to be a knee problem if I walk too long. He dismissed that. I researched and found it is probably in relation to improper body mechanics. If you touch a spot just inside the left side, above the tibia, you get a jolt. Anyway, at least I am not alone as I hear others say how wonderful they recovered and I felt I was abnormal. Hope it won't be forever! For all of you fellow hip replacement folks too!
