I had sulfur burps for 1 week and I passed it on to two other people that I hung around with a lot during that time. I tried ENO and it went away straight away and it went away when my friends had some as well.

Very interesting. I'm a 28 year old female. I have the rotten egg burps and gas, horrible stomach pain where I can't put pressure on my stomach at all, watery stool, weight loss when it occurs, and weak for a few days after. I've been going through this for 7 years and have multiple attacks a month. Currently have this issue. They took out my gallbladder because it wasn't working. Still no sign of relief. I have gone on the most pathetic and basic diets to help and it doesn't. I have been tested for multiple GI issues and all negative. No parasites and tested negative for H. pylori. I have no clue what is going on. Also I feel nauseous and before I would make myself throw up and it would help. Now nothing helps and I have had allergic reactions to meds that didn't even touch the symptoms.

I am 59. Twenty years ago I had a recurring problem like this for years. I was a heavy drinker back then (in the evening) and did physical labor all day long. I had been diagnosed with hep C (non A, non B) twenty years earlier than that - at 20.
Told to stop drinking, I hadn't, and thought the swelling I I was getting in my stomach every month was my liver.
This went on for years. Sulfer burbs, swelling, but no diarrhea.
It got worse and worse until I started feeling pain. This had been like ten years with this sh*t.
I had been seeing a doctor a year earlier, for about a year, for my drinking problem. I had my own business doing what I loved, recycling, and making 300k/year clear. I just wanted to find out why I could not quit.
Anyway - and this is funny, disturbing, and I should have sued. I went to the emergency room, complaining of all the signs of appendicitis. In fact i told them that it was appendicitis. It hurt like hell when I pushed in the middle of my stomach.
Unfortunately the doctor i had been seeing for drinking and the hep C took my case right up.
He was really self-righteous.
You see, deep down, he hated me. He had a friend (whom was very, very, dear to him) who had hep C from a blood transfusion - not sharing a needle like myself. My liver enzymes were fairly normal - in fact on doctor told me it would kill me around the age of 135.
His dear friend ways dying and had never had a drink. I had no liver damage, had the C for 4 times as long, and drank like a fish.
So when I came into the emergency room he was on me like I was his dear friend. He insisted that my liver must be failing - while I kept insisting it was my appendix. He told my wife, my mother, my sister, that i was dying because I would not quit drinking - now it was too late, I had blown it, and he had done all he could.
With other doctors around while I sat in a wheelchair, slowly turning grey, he pushed in on my stomach to show them how I would wince in pain - from the swollen liver.
My fever jumped 5 degrees. He had ruptured my appendix.
He ignored my complaint and proceeded to stick a camera down my throat, and then up my ass. Other doctors were beginning to question his diagnosis.... but he was hell bent. "By God this drunk it getting his comeuppance. The universe is coming into balance. No butt buddie of mine is going to die while this rich, drunk, junkie, gets by for free.
Finally he just gives up. He puts me into a room, to die i guess, and orders me a great big last breakfast.
I was just starting in on the breakfast (I had been there nearly 24 hours) and two doctors and a surgeon come rushing in. "Dont eat that!" You have exploratory surgery in 30 minutes.
Finally - a doctor.
Just as i was going under I asked them to take a look at my liver and see if there was any damage - it had been five years since i had a biopsy and it should no scarring.
Anyway - it was my appendix. It had burst and I had gangrene. In fact I had the problem so long, coming and going, they found my appendix had grown in upside down - and had been leaking into my abdominal cavity for years with gangrene coming and going - that is where the swelling and the nasty burps came from. My liver, btw, looked fine.
Just as I was to be released I noticed a large red blotch running from the middle of my back to my stomach.
I had my laptop with me for day trading. I looked up my rash and found I had a big staff infection.
The new doctor studied my laptop, looked at my wound, and said, 'good thing we did not let you go - you would have died"
why can't this sh*t happen to me now that I dont have any money - so I could have sued?

I had this problem for 10 years with periodic swelling in my gut. It finally got real bad with real bad stomach pain.
I had appendicitis with some gangrene. My appendix had grown in upside down and had been leaking into my stomach cavity all that time. I would get sick; swollen, nasty burps, - for a couple of weeks every two months.

And how. Sounds like you nailed it. Its possible it could also be a bacterial infection but most likely gall bladder. After mine was removed I started experiencing this problem. Mostly when I over eat. Lol as a matter of fact I'm dealing with it as I write this. Due to a 1/2 lb burger and hot wings. Yea I knew better so here I am. Get your gall bladder checked
