You have hydrogen gas which causes a smell called "surfer" also known for "egg burps".What you can do is just drink plenty of water and this may sound a little strange but eat bananas because I had the same thing and I went to the hospital and they gave me some tablets called "Buscopan tablets and they helped allot. Hope my advice helped you. x

I googled 'gall bladder' symptoms and found a list that consisted of all the symptoms I had. Nausia, sulfer burps, gas, loose stools...etc. I had my gall bladder taken out two weeks ago. I'll have to wait at least a year to see my gall bladder was the cause.

Ive had this for years as well.  Pepto tablets work the best.  Take 2 of them, then 2 more 30 minutes later.  Gets rid of the burps and decreases the bout of diarreha significantly.  Went to see a gastro doc and said it was probaly acis indigestion.  Told me to take tagamet before I go to sleep if I had eaten a big meal that day.  Hope this helps.

Roughly 3 months ago I got symptoms of egg tasting foul burbs, followed by the worst diarrhea I have ever experienced. I have a bad back and I am taking medication that constipates everyone so the diarrhea was a shock.

This seems to occur once a month for me. Last month was the most violent attack so far.  I couldn't even make it to the bathroom that was 12 feet away. The times before I just had the diarrhea, but this time I threw up. I assume I was so dehydrated I started having back spasms so bad I couldn't get out of bed. I finally called an ambulance, the 1st time n 54 years.

I also went to the doctor and he seems to blow the whole thing off and I went postal. He gave me some stool tests but I donot have the results back. I swear that I have worms. I looked in the toilet after I went and saw this long worm like thing. I took a picture of it for the doctor. He has referred me to a Gastro doctor.

I also had an ultra sound done and was told I had gall stones but they were so small they shouldn't bother me.

Today I was driving home after dropping of my son at school and the egg burps started. I was freaking out because my son's school is 30 minutes away and I have no one to pick him up. As I walked in the door the 1st thing I had to do was hit the bathroom. The diarrhea has started. I took 8 Imodium tablets and drank some Pepno.  The I layed down for a few hours until I had to pick my son up.

I equipped the car with all the essentials, plastic bag in the drivers seat, towel on top and a bucket. I made it round trip without an accident!

It's almost 11 pm and I have not had diarrhea since 2 this afternoon.

I checked my ER bill and noticed the date was 12/8 so it seems to happen to me on a monthly basis.

Hoping to get some answers soon, but at least I have figured out this month how to stop it.

I just finished a bout of antibiotics and believe they are caused by a bacterial imbalance in the gut. I went out tonight and bought acidopholis tablets to help replenish the good bacteria I need. I woke with the sulfur burps this morning and they've been going all day before I realized what was up. I've had two doses in the last six hours and it is beginning to settle down now to small burps and less frequent.
Good luck.

Hi I have rotten egg burps today...I ate like a pig yesterday-too many fats but basically ate something that was incompatible with my body, namely sugar and vinegar. Vinegar is a fermented product and sugar and fermented anything are a sure combination for fermentation to grow (just like when one bakes bread, the starter culture is yeast (the organism) and sugar for them to ferment on so the bread will rise and grow). That plus I ate a lot of foods my body wasn't used to eating. It is possible that there is a bacteria or a yeast or parasite, etc. residing in my gut that is being given an opportunistic environment to react. I suspect that the only way to suppress it may be to avoid all sources of sugar/sweet tastes plus fast a bit to assure my stomach empties out and do that for the next 3-4 days, as it takes 72 hours for the digestive tract to rid itself of any ingredient it has been exposed to. Lastly, if there is a resident pathogen that doesn't seem to go away from avoiding overeating and/or consuming the offending items, one may have to add an herbal or conventional antibiotic. But it would have to be diagnosed to find out what the organism is sensitive to. Naturopaths usually use specialty labs that will test for a wide range of pathogens, more so than conventional labs.

This occasionally happens to me as well I don't know what causes it i just know that its taste and smells gross and hate when it happens. I cannot say that my diet is the healthiest but i do eat well. I think i should go to my doctor but i don't want him saying that its nothing when obviously it is!

I have the same issue. My doctor said I have a bacteria in my stomach called h.pylori. A simple blood test can check for this.

I will get "episodes" of these sulfur burps followed by explosive bouts of diarrhea and vomiting for days and days with no relief until I would be prescribed a really strong anti-biotic, usually Cipro, this helped for a few rounds but soon stopped working. The episodes have worsened over time and have become more frequent. Not only is it embarrassing but it interferes with so much!!
I am praying that this is the answer and that the steroid regiment that I was placed on will help!
