I'm only 12 years old and I thought I was the only one with this. I'm happy to know I'm not alone. These started back when I was 10 or 11 and only happened once and I thought it was something I ate and for a while I thought I was allergic to eggs or something. Well they came back and my stomach hurts, I don't really want to eat anymore, and I wake up felling terrible in the morning. Not to mention the sulfur burps. I really if anything want to know how to stop the burps. If possible i want to know what I might have and a way to tell my mom. From what I do know though this isn't life-threatening. Please anything helps. Thank you!

Wow. I'm sorry to say I'm happy that you guys are experiencing this, but if not I would not feel a little better right now. I had no clue what the heck was going on. This just started a week ago for me and as I type I'm a little cramped up and having these burps. I didn't eat too much yesterday so I should be OK.

From what I have read drinking a lot of fluids is the answer so I will hit the water jug today for sure. When it happens to me I mostly vomit, which is no fun at all, because it seems like you vomit 4 days worth of food. Everything you have basically in your stomach and then a little more. I'm happy if I have a episode of diarrhea because I hate the violence of the vomiting.

Anyway thanks to all for posting and I pray my post helps relieve someone's worry's.

May Peace and Blessings be upon you.

Hello everyone, Hey Mark. I have the same symptoms ,just a different order. Diarrhea came almost last, but the burps come back every couple weeks. I am almost certain it's a parasite and I have an appointment with a naturopath to find out for sure. My mum got parasites from her vacation overseas and this wholistic doctor gave her an i.v. that wiped out the parasite with out any weird sideeffects. I wish I could remember what she cleaned her blood with but I'm at a loss. However, it worked and I can't handle this sulphur burp $#!* anymore. I have the feeling the parasite has been there for a while and every time my immune system isn't on it's game, 'ol master "P" comes to say hello. Why don't you do a parasite cleanse with wormwood, maleferm and pumpkin seeds around full moon(when the parasites like to party the most). sounds crazy but just look it up. I'd do it but I'm breastfeeding at the moment and I don't think the babe would appreciate the cleanse. good luck.

My name is Mark and I'm 25 years old. My symptoms aren't as severe as some of the ones I've seen in this thread, but I remember that I got sick from eating something at a Burger King one night back in July/August 2008, and the next morning I had Sulphur burps (rotten egg burps) and then an hour later I was on the toilet stool with the worst diarrhea I've ever had in my life. My stomach looked like it was regurgitating the whole time, and it was coming out like water. Basically almost like I was peeing from my anus. I know that's pretty graphic but that's the best way to describe it. I had diarrhea the whole day pretty much, until my body was empty of every food and fluid. Afterwards I thought I was cured.

But since then, I've been experiencing the Sulphur burps on and off almost like once every 2 weeks or so. I just now woke up this morning with the rotten egg burps again, but what's weird is I've never puked or vomited. And since my first episode with that major diarrhea, I don't even get that anymore. The only symptom is the rotten egg burps. I don't know what to do to cure it. I've been taking a pro-biotic pill which seems to suppress the sulphur burps later on in the day, but I want them to just never come back altogether! I really need to know if anyone has any advice with my symptoms, because they seem weird to me.

Why would I get the worst Diarrhea during my first episode with the rotten egg burps, but then the next times I've had it, the only symptoms were the rotten egg burps? There must be some sort of parasite in our bodies or something. It seems to be many different foods that cause it, so I doubt it has anything to do with what you eat. If anyone has any answers please contact me.

Please someone email me if you know a cure for my symptoms or if you are experiencing the same ones for yourselves! Thanks and GODSPEED!

I have had this problem for years and finally found out what it was.....FATTY FOODS. Your gallbladder is not digesting the food and it does indeed become rotten. It was always chocolate, mayo, big greasy burger. I could always look to the day before and figure it out.

Hello Everyone with this very odd condition,

I believe I have just figured out what is causing this. Some of you who do not vomit, maybe you just have a lighter case of it. I would call this an allergy, but being there is no Protein in the Food Product causing this, it Technically cannot be an allergy. But if your eating out I would tell the Wait Person it is.

What I believe it is, is a reaction to Vegetable Oil, more specifically Canola oil or Rapeseed. I found a Website in which someone else was having this problem and sure enough that's what they came up with as well. I can eat Fatty things like Burgers and such and not have these symptoms. Maybe they are using Vegetable Oil (Canola) to make the surface non Stick.?.?

The way I figured this out is because we had just bought a fryer. Every two days I would get sick. This is how often we started frying foods. So I did a search online for Vegetable Oil Allergies and before I could type Allergy the phrase popped up. But I don't think it's all Vegetable Oil. If you have Vegetable Oil and it doesn't say what kind it is anywhere on the bottle, it's most likely Canola or Rapeseed.

I then started staying away from it, but ate some Tortilla chips and got sick a day later instead of the normal two and it wasn't as bad since the chips had a low Vegetable Oil (Canola Oil) content. That's when I was sure it was Canola Oil.

I have stayed away from anything Canola or Rapeseed (Which is how it is listed sometimes so be careful) and haven't been sick now for almost two weeks and have had virtually no sour burps. I did get them here and there for some reason. I don't know if something wasn't listed and had a very low content or what. But I have stayed away from Canola Oil and have been fine.

Now be careful. I have to read every label now. If it says Vegetable Oil and doesn't specify what kind, it's probably Canola. I eat stuff with Vegetable oil in it if it says it's made from Palm oil, Cotton seed Oil, SunFlower Seed oil and have been find. It seems to be the Canola for some reason which is made from Rapeseed. Remember that. Maybe your situation is different and if staying away from Canola type Vegetable oil doesn't work, try all Vegetable Oil after that. I also noticed while going through this, that eating some Bread would help ease my stomach.

Well I pray I have been able to help someone with this information because I know how horrible an experience it is. I pray this helps you as it did me. I will also leave a link to that website I mentioned.

It may sound odd, but it always works for me.  Pepto Bismol.  I may not be experiencing the same thing as you folks are, but i have rotten egg burps every 30 mins or so, starting at 2:00 or 3:00 and sometimes accompanied by stomach pains.  No clue what causes it but, if you have the same symptoms as me,  try Pepto Bismol.  It diminishes the burps and also helps with the stomach ache.

I am so happy to realize that I am not the only one going through this problem.  My 16 yr old son and I both suffer from chronic egg burp and lately I just can't get rid of it and I am literally afraid to eat cause no matter what I eat or drink I have the egg burp accompanied with severe stomach cramps, nausea, and diarrhea.  At times pepto bismol helps but lately more times than not it doesn't. I've learned a lot after reading all the posts and Monday morning I am going to get busy making doctor appointments.  Hope some good comes from all this and I hope you all get relief real soon.  God Bless you all.

If you take Pepsid or anything that shuts off your acid producers, then the food in your stomach does not digest and break down therefore rotting away in your stomach. That is what I believe is happening.

Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and the rotten egg burps.
Me (23), My dad (62), and my son (2) all residing in West Virginia have it.
First it started with my dad a week ago and now me and my son yesterday.
Anyone find anything that helps for the burps?

I used to get this problem on occasion as a teenager and that is because I used to eat quite a lot of buttery foods back then however my mother used to make me take little blue pills that cleaned out my liver and stomach and whole inner area. Today I would recommend milk thistle tablets for a liver cleansing, and to drink loads of water, A good detox is the answer for sure.
