Finished it up last night... really liked it. Those twists outta right-field are always fun. A few clues ahead of time even I didn't catch. It was a quick read too, probably three sittings and I was done.

I just got the copy from my library on Thursday, so I'm not too far into it yet. I'm liking it so far. Don't know if I'll finish by the end of the month.

I just finished this morning. I really like mysteries, but don't really read thrillers. I really liked this one. While I liked the actual story with all the twists and turns, what I really appreciated was the descriptive style. He really made you feel the landscape and scenery, and at the beginning when describing Gloria's single friends, what he wrote about naming their Siamese cats after their imaginary daughters. At the end he was describing the dining room at the nursing home, and compared it to a high school cafeteria, with the gossipy cabals; the doddering table, lively table and a table of women who all dyed their hair in pastels. I also liked the story of the old stonecutter - a great diversion from the tension of the story. I look forward to his next book.
