I have to do cystoscopy next Monday. I know that diagnose may be bad, but something tells me that it won’t be. All I’m worried about in this moment are side effects of cystoscopy. I’d like to hear some experiences from people who did it. Did you have sexual side effects caused by cystoscopy?

I did cystoscopy last year and it wasn’t cancer. I was diagnosed prostate obstruction. I felt discomfort after the procedure and had blood in urine next 2 days. It was absolutely normal reaction on cystoscopy. I had no side effects related to sexual miss function.

Cyustoscopy damages the schinter nerves and gives you at least the beginnings of retrograde ejaculation. No side effects? Check the sperm count that is now in your urine instead of in your ejactulate. That's right. Notice how your flow isn't what it used to be? Try knowing what you are talking about before promoting that an invasive procdure caused you no change

YES! Stay the HELL away from doing a cystoscopy at all costs. In fact, if you want to stay well, stay the HELL away from doctors at all costs!!!!! I had one done and it ruined my sex life entirely. The human body is not designed to be probed internally - if it was, we'd all have zippers. . . Read my entire post about this on the main page.

I am having a similar issue. My climax is extremely less intense. I am 56 years old, and also had to be catheterized because blood clots were keeping me from peeing. I believe either the cath or the cystoscopy affected my ability to climax properly

Hi guys, it’s been 3 months now since I had a cystoscopy done to check for an Overactive bladder. I’ve been experiencing the following symptoms:

. Random sharp shooting pains in middle of shaft of my penis (at very same spot which was extremely tender and sore when cystoscope was pulled out) • A noticeably weaker erection and weaker force of ejaculation with mild pain/soreness felt immediately after ejaculation at middle of shaft of penis (same spot as mentioned before).  . A Loss of sensation with sex and masturbation. It feels like nerve damage at the head of penis.

This has severely affected my mental health for the past 3 months. I’ve been getting depressed and I’ve seen two other urologists who all said ‘I need to let my penis heal and the sexual side effects are all in my head’ which is not true because I had no issue with this before.

Urologists need to be banned from doing a cystoscopy just as a safety check so they can make money from us. It should only be carried out if they identify something wrong from prior tests/scans.

Please Please Please if any of you have found a solution which works then I would greatly appreciate it if you could share. I can vouch for the fact that it’s not all in your head.
